Fun & Fit

For youth grade 8 - 12 in the Learn to Train and Train to Train stage. This is a great program for younger athletes and juniors with a lot of other commitments.

Program Overview LTAD Stage: Train to Train

For those in grade 8-12 who already know how to row and would like to row for fitness, skill development and fun. Athletes row in singles, moving to bigger boats as COVID-19 restrictions permit.  Athletes will train 3x/wk, including land and onwater sessions and may participate in online mobility, core and circuit training. This program is suitable for experienced rowers who have a busy schedule and for rowers who are graduating out of the novice program and looking to advance further.

The Fun & Fit program will focus on staying fit and healthy, continued skill acquisition and  preparing the athletes for more intense training at later stages.

Prerequisite: Able to row a racing single. Athletes in the Winter Novice program who are  making the transition from coastal and pontoon singles to racing singles  may be considered based on a recommendation from your coach.
