Elk Lake, BC – The Victoria City Rowing Club is proud to announce athletes from the club earned gold medals in 9 separate events at the University of Victoria’s Monster Erg this past Sunday.

Carl Schoch, who earned first place in the master’s Men 60+, Colleen Boyle won the Masters 60+ event and Michael Keane took home the gold medal for the U23 lightweight men.

Meanwhile, six athletes finished first in the Junior categories and the VCRC junior relay team finished in second behind a team from UVIC.

The Monster Erg saw 99 VCRC rowers participating this year, which ranged from Junior Novice to Masters for both male and female athletes.
