VICTORIA CITY ROWING CLUB TO HOST DUELING OVER A GRAND REGATA 2019

Canadian National Team and VCRC athletes to compete this weekend at Elk Lake
April 5, 2019

Elk Lake, BC – The Victoria City Rowing Club is pleased to announce that it’s club athletes will compete at the 2019 Dueling over a Grand Regatta this Saturday and Sunday.

The tournament-style event will see two boats compete against each other per race with the winner advancing to the next round. A double knockout format allows a crew to advance through the tournament until they lose twice and are knocked out of the tournament or progress all the way to the final.

The regatta will take place on Elk Lake off the Pat Bay Highway, with races beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Categories will include Men’s and Women’s Junior A, B, and C, as well as Open and Masters. Junior races will be held for Under-15, 17, and 19. In the Open category the Canadian National Team will be competing with local Rowing Clubs!

More information is available at the VCRC website, while live results will be available at the Regatta Central website.
