VICTORIA CITY ROWING CLUB ATHLETES COMPETE AT ROYAL CANADIAN HENLEY REGATTA.

VCRC junior and senior athletes to compete this week in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Elk Lake, BC – The Victoria City Rowing Club is pleased to announce that 11 junior and 3 senior athletes have travelled to Ontario to compete at the 2018 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.

 

Every August the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta attracts elite rowing clubs from across North America and the world to St. Catharines for an unforgettable week of competition. Over its 135 year history the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta has evolved into the top amateur rowing event in North America and the premier Canadian competition for international athletes from Europe, Australia, Latin America and beyond. The regatta has grown in popularity year on year. Last year the 135th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta attracted over 3,500 participants.

 

The regatta will take place on Martindale Pond in St. Catharines Ontario, with races beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday and finishing on Sunday. The first finals will be on Thursday afternoon starting at 3:36pm. VCRC athletes will race over a 2000m course in U17, U19 and Senior events.
