VCRC athletes compete this weekend at Elk Lake

Elk Lake, BC – The Victoria City Rowing Club is pleased to announce that its club athletes will compete at the 2018 Elk Lake Spring Regatta this weekend.


The event, which is hosted by the University of Victoria's Vikes men’s and women’s rowing program, serves as a Stage 1 event in determining Junior National Team nomination for Rowing Canada Aviron in both 1x’s and 2-'s.


The regatta will take place on Elk Lake off the Pat Bay Highway and will include nine different racing categories (Open, Junior A, Junior B, Junior C, Novice, Cox, Masters, Mixed Masters, and Lightweight. Racing will take place on Saturday and Sunday with heats scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. each day.
