The Community Corporate Challenge is 7 weeks of teamwork, fitness, and fun! Crews row twice a week for 7 weeks, coached by their own coach (provided by VCRC) and conclude with racing in the City Championship Regatta on Elk Lake.
Rowing is a great activity for people of all abilities, fitness levels and goals. The beautiful outdoor atmosphere, social interaction outside the workplace and physical demand of the sport together with the low-impact and non-contact characteristics, rowing is a sport everyone can enjoy. Rowers learn to anticipate and move quickly and gracefully. Every individual in the boat is vital to the balance, speed, and direction of the boat. Ultimate success is achieved through teamwork and patience. It allows individuals to realize the importance of their contribution to the whole team.To make a long story short; Rowing gives you and your colleagues or friends the ultimate teambuilding experience.
As an employer, the Community Corporate Rowing Challenge is designed to offer your ream a fun team building activity. The skills developed through this opportunity will benefit your association, company, organization to communicate better, foster innovation and creativity, bring motivation to the work floor, boost the team performance, and getting to know each other better.
As an individual, this program introduces you to a new sport, a great experience, and a vibrant community. You will have the possibility of continuing to row in our Adult competitive, club or adult novice program at Victoria City Rowing Club.
Register as quads (4x) or eights (8+), as either Novice or Experienced. We recommend having five people register for quads and ten people register for eights to allow the crew to train when there is an absence.
