Reminder: Scratch fees are $30/event, payable at the time the scratch is made. |
Boats for heats will not be permitted to launch until 6:45 am (change from note posted on July 6) |
IN and OUT docks:
Both docks will be "OUT" docks until final boat is launched for Time Trial.
Both docks will be "IN" docks after launching of last Time Trial boat until 6:45 am
After 6:45, there will be one IN dock and one OUT dock, as noted on course map |
Course map / flow pattern now posted. Please make sure all athletes are familiar with flow pattern. |
Course is open one hour before the first scheduled race and closes one hour after last scheduled race.
Safety boats will be on course when it is open.
Crews training when the course is not open do so at their own risk. |

Multi-age Masters Events:
Masters Events listed on the draw as covering more than 1 age group (e.g., Event 26 Masters Men A-F 2x) will be run with a handicap (1 second/year). A handicap will not be applied to Events listed as covering a single age (event if they include older crews who have elected to race down). |
Time Trial Bow Markers:
- Bow markers for Saturday morning Time Trial MUST be picked up at the Registration table by 7:00 pm Friday
- Bow markers for Sunday morning Time Trial MUST be picked up at the Registration table by 5:30 pm Saturday
- Bow markers for the Time Trial MUST be attached to your boat before you proceed to the dock for launching
- Bow markers from the Time Trial MUST be returned the same day. There will be a $10 charge for unreturned bow markers

Time Trial Launching:
There will be close to 100 boats launching for the Time Trial each day. To facilitate launching:
- For the TIME TRIAL ONLY, both docks will be used for launching
- Boats will be launched in event sequence
- Bow markers MUST be attached BEFORE you proceed to the launch area
- Boats late to the START will be slotted in at the end of the Time Trial ONLY AT THE UMPIRE'S DISCRETION

Family 2x: All entries will race in a Heat and a Final. Top 2 finishers in each Heat will go to A Final, next 2 finishers will go to B final, next finisher(s) will go in C final. Races will be 500m. |

Entries and Fees:
Entry deadline: Wednesday June 23, 2010, 4:00 p.m.
Entries must be complete, including payment and all required information.
Entry fee: $45/person (includes Rowing BC fee and entry in an unlimited number of events)
Entry fee for Family 2x: $30/boat The Regatta Committee reserves the right to limit entries in this event.
Late entry fee: $65/person (after June 23rd)
Late entries will be accepted up until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8th, providing there is lane space available.
*People already registered who wish to add races after the deadline will be assessed a late fee of $10 per race.
Scratch Fees: Any crews scratching after the entry deadline or not showing at the start line will be assessed a $30 scratch fee (per event).
Bow Markers: Time Trials participants who fail to return their bow marker by 4 pm on the day of the time trial will be assessed a $10 replacement fee.
Payment:
Fees may be paid by cash, VISA, MasterCard, direct debit or cheque. Please make cheques payable to Victoria City Rowing Club. We can process credit card and direct debit payments by phone or in person 9-5 pm Monday-Friday (or at alternate times by arrangement). Payment must be received by 4:00 pm June 23rd to avoid late entry fees.
