2010-08-20: Hudson Boat Raffle Winner!

The Hudson Boat single with Concept 2 blades and stroke coach raffle winner was drawn at 2 pm on Sunday August 15, 2010 in the new Boathouse by Susan Brice, community member and Saanich Municipal Councillor. A large and excited crowd managed to contain their excitement while consuming quantities of ice tea and cookies as the winning entry was drawn. 1,000 tickets were printed and *ALL* of them were sold, which raised $20,000 in proceeds towards the boathouse renewal. Thanks again to Hudson Boatworks, Jon Beare and Hugh Hudson; Concept 2, Christine Wilson and Peter and Dick Dreissigacker (Concept 2) for the generous donations to help the one4all campaign to renew the Elk Lake Boathouse.

The winning ticket number was #0066. The happy winner is a parent of one of the Junior rowers at VCRC. We are looking forward to seeing the boat in use on the lake. Congratulations!
