Seasonal Programs

Community Corporate Rowing Challenge (CCRC)
The Coast Capital Savings Community Corporate Rowing Challenge is a 7-week rowing program for businesses, groups and clubs that runs from the beginning of April to the end of May.

Learn to Row - Adult
Ages 18+. The Adult Learn to Row will introduce novices to the sport of rowing. Technical sculling skills, boat handling and awareness will be developed in an array of small boat classes – 1x, 2x, 4x. This program is a jumping off point to other adult programs.

Learn to Row - Youth
Ages 12 - 17. Youth Learn to Row is the perfect introduction for those who want to try the sport of rowing for the first time! This program will teach basic skills in rowing technique and boat handling with a focus on sculling boats. Come and see how fun and rewarding rowing can be!

Novice Masters
The Novice Masters program is for adults who have completed a LTR (or equivalent) and want to further develop their skills and fitness before joining the competitive Masters program.

Recreational Rowing - Adult
Recreational rowing is for anyone who has recently completed a Learn To Row or has done Community Corporate Challenge within the past three months.

Recreational Rowing - Youth
Youth Rec. Rowing is the next step after the Learn to Row or Youth Summer Camp. With an emphasis on smaller boats – singles and doubles, basic technical skills and boat handling will be further developed. Youth Rec is also the perfect aerobic activity for a summer afternoon!

Summer Youth Rowing Camp
Ages 12 - 14. The Youth Summer Camp (YSC) will provide a fun environment to build basic rowing skills! With two rows per day and a focus in sculling boats, the Camp will be supplemented with games and activities to develop basic movements and flexibility. The YSC will keep the kids active and having fun learning about the sport of rowing!

NEW! Summer Youth Mixed Paddling Camp
Ages 12 - 15. The Youth Summer Mixed Paddling Camp, in co-operation with the Victoria Youth Paddling Club, will provide an opportunity to learn both rowing and kayak skills! The Camp will feature one kayak and one rowing session per day in sculling boats and will be supplemented with outdoor games and activities to work on basic movements and flexibility. This camp will keep the kids active and having fun learning about different water sports!
