The Victoria City Rowing Club (VCRC) is a non profit community rowing club operating out of the Victoria Rowing Society boathouse located on scenic Elk Lake. VCRC shares this facility with the Canadian National team, the University of Victoria and the Greater Victoria Youth Rowing Society.
VCRC offers a variety of recreational, seasonal, and competitive programs that facilitate the needs of novice athletes, community athletes (Corporate Challenge) and competitive athletes for all age categories (12 yrs old - 99 yrs old). We also offer customized training camps and private coaching to those individuals who do not fall into our structured programs.
The excellence of the club is driven by athletes and coaches alike and VCRC is fortunate to employ a consistent core of dedicated and talented coaches. Many of these coaches are alumni of our VCRC competitive programs who have learned the art of giving back to the sport they love. Their presence carries forward the community values that we hope to instil in our membership.
Your journey into the sport of rowing can begin here and it can carry you as far as you would like to take it. Athletes of all ages have gone on to represent Canada at the highest levels and we enjoy being a part of the journey.
